The Skirt That Slipped Into My Fashion Universe
Sometimes when you blink and open your eyes you can see something you never noticed before. This is sort of what happened to me with the slip skirt trend! There I was, minding my own business when bam like a bolt of lightening everyone had one on in leopard print or a close cousin print from the animal kingdom and was looking fresh and fabulous. The best part about the whole idea is that there are hundreds of ways to style this item with things you already own in your closet. I have found myself living in mine running to and from meetings and feeling like I’ve found a summer uniform that makes sense. Here are a few reasons to buy an animal printed midi slip skirt right now.
You can buy this trend for under $100.00 easily. My favorite one is from Aqua available at Bloomingdales and is the one I’m wearing in these photos! I’m also including additional ones that I love below.
2. You can wear the slip skirt everywhere! Work, date night, brunch on Sunday and of course walking the dog...the options are limitless because the midi length makes it infinitely appropriate. It’s also slightly dressy in fabrication and has a slight sheen to it which is why it’s extra cool to style it back to causal elements like a tee or a sneaker.
3. You can wear a midi slip skirt with ANY shoe from sneakers to mules to heels. You decide if you want to be casual, dressy or somewhere in between. Think of this skirt as a canvas upon which to accessorize and style up or down.
