A Mask to Lift your Skin and Your Spirits
I was in Paris the first time I met Nevena Borrisova. We met for cocktails at the Bristol hotel to discuss an exciting opportunity we were developing at Bloomingdales. From the moment I sat down with Nevena, I was intrigued. She had a passion for fashion and a clear point of view about style that was refreshingly honest.
This fall, when I officially moved across the country to Los Angeles, I was invited to the store opening for a newer contemporary brand called Senlis on Robertson Blvd in West Hollywood. When I arrived, I was excited to see Nevena again in person and also, to discover that she was the talent behind the brand's design direction. Senlis is a collection of mainly floral women's clothing that celebrates the spirit of a romantic, french pastoral existence. In a world filled with edgy clothing, Senlis brings back a femininity and carefree spirit that really speaks to me. This clothing is perfect for warm weather cocktail parties by the beach or if you’re so inclined, doing cartwheels through dandelion fields in. Seriously though, the brand fills a void in my closet for unapologetically girly clothing you can live your real life in. Period.
When Nevena found out I was new to LA she was equal parts excited to help me navigate the city as she was excited for me to try on all of her creations for Senlis and to offer me her expert styling advice. I was thrilled to connect with her over the last few weeks to find out what she is wearing and doing right now to stay positive, creative and stylish because she’s someone I can count on for complete authenticity. Who would have thought making a homemade face mask could lift not only your skin but your spirits too?!
Feeling grateful to have so many generous people in my orbit right now. More soon.
Xoxo

Tips to Improve Mood through style while at home: “Your outfit choice has always been the director of your day but now more than ever you need to be disciplined even if dressing just for you. Your confidence and mood with be different if you feel dressed for the day and not in PJs. Ditch the week long sweat pants look. Wear your beautiful dresses for a virtual cocktail hour with friends it will inspire them.”
