Sometimes when you blink and open your eyes you can see something you never noticed before. This is sort of what happened to me with the slip skirt trend! There I was, minding my own business when bam like a bolt of lightening everyone had one on in leopard print or a close cousin print from the animal kingdom and was looking fresh and fabulous.
I get great satisfaction from rewearing my clothing. I once had an assistant suggest that I wear a different necklace because she was tired of looking at it #lol (I can’t make this stuff up)!! Over the course of my life, I have come to appreciate the style of women who are creative about repurposing signature items in their wardrobes. To me, this signifies a level of confidence about their style.

Yes, I love tennis and no, I couldn’t help myself when thinking of a title for this post. The new wave of coordinated set dressing really excites me. When I was growing up, my mother emphasized the importance of matching whenever possible and I came to intuit over time that matching and coordination signaled to the world you had your act together. As a child of the 80’s, matchy matchy styles and strategic color coordination have always looked right to my eye, even when the idea of matching became theoretically “out”. The return of all things coordinated is one big #throwbackthursday for me and I like it.

I’ve always had a thing about shoes and feet. It’s hard for me to watch women walk in shoes that are uncomfortable. It actually pains me because I know first hand how much it can hurt! Johnson and Johnson owes me one for my support of Band Aids through the years. When I read fashion advice columns telling women they must invest in sky high heels to look their best I wince.
